On Thursday, October 25th, Leede Research shared the results of the recently completed Tertiary Workforce Study for Manitowoc County.  Dean Halverson, CEO shared results with the community at the Holiday Inn, Manitowoc.  The study indicates the needs of the workforce are changing, especially with younger workers.  Flexibility in both working days and hours worked have become almost as important as wages and benefits for some workers.  There was also discussion of both opportunities and threats to the future workforce in Manitowoc County.

Stacey Force, VP of Marketing at Manpower in Milwaukee, share a presentation on how the workforce is changing and how digitizing employment will impact jobs and the workforce in the years ahead.  She shared that the speed of change has been accelerating in recent years and that means that employers need to adjust more quickly to the latest technologies.  This creates gaps in worker skills and challenges for future employment.  She quoted a recent World Workforce Study that indicated that 63% of the jobs that Generation Z will have in their career have not even been invented yet.
